Holden Lake Farm: A Haven for Nature Lovers and Community Support

Nestled next to the Crow and Gate pub in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Holden Lake Farm is a hidden gem that has been bringing beauty and joy to the community since its inception. Formerly known as Glow Garden or Imperial Pacific, this farm is now under the ownership of Maike Marnet, who has turned it into a vibrant hub for plant enthusiasts and community members alike.

Maike’s love for nature and her desire to own a farm began when she was a child. As an adult, she was able to fulfill her dream when she took over Holden Lake Farm a couple of years ago. Since then, she has put in a tremendous amount of effort and dedication to maintain and improve the farm.

One of the highlights of Holden Lake Farm is the annual bedding plant sale that takes place during spring, from the end of March to mid-June. Maike and the team’s passion for plants is evident in the diverse selection of bedding plants, hanging baskets, veggie starts, and succulents that are available for purchase. Customers rave about the reasonable prices and high-quality plants, making it a must-visit destination for anyone looking to beautify their garden or home.

Holden Lake Farm is not just a place to buy plants, it’s also a place to enjoy the beauty of nature and spend time with friends and family. The proximity to the pub makes it an ideal spot for a lunch date or a leisurely stroll among the plants.

Our commitment to supporting local growers has made it a beloved destination for plant enthusiasts and community members alike. Whether you’re looking to add some greenery to your home or simply enjoy a day out in nature, Holden Lake Farm is the perfect spot to do so.

We are open daily from 9am to 5pm. Visit us at 2257 Yellow Point Road or contact us.
