Canadian Thanksgiving at Holden Lake Farm: A Year of Growth and Gratitude

As we gather around the table for Thanksgiving, we at Holden Lake Farm want to take a moment to reflect on a year filled with growth, both in our garden and our community. Our seasonal Garden Centre saw an exciting season this year, opening from the end of March for Easter long weekend and staying open until the end of June—longer than 2023 when we wrapped up at the beginning of June. This extended season gave us more time to connect with you, our valued customers, and share the beauty of our plants and produce.

One of the highlights of this year was our strawberry production, with the first yield showing promising results. With your continued support, we’re eager to take our market to even greater heights next season. While we always wish we could do more, nature reminds us that just like the seasons, we need to slow down, rest, and prepare for what’s to come.

Your feedback this year has been invaluable, and we’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who contributed. We’re excited to share that we’re now working on partnerships with local providers to host workshops and offer sustainability training on growing flowers, vegetables, and everything related to health and wellness.
